- The Center for West European Studies, founded in 1994, is one of five federally funded National Resource Centers for West European Studies in the US. The mission is to enhance the quality of teaching and research on West European politics, society, and culture through outreach to universities, business, the general public, and the K-12 community.
- The Center for the Study of the Pacific Northwest makes accessible some of the University's myriad resources in regional history. It informs people about news and events in the field; features a changing showcase on the Northwest; provides curriculum materials designed for secondary-school teachers and students; contains course materials for the UW survey course on Pacific Northwest history; offers selected articles from back issues of Pacific Northwest Quarterly; and includes annotated links to related sites on regional and state history.
- The East Asia Center’s mission is to advance knowledge of China, Japan, and Korea through undergraduate and graduate programs, faculty research, and outreach programs for the larger community. It builds capacity for teaching about East Asia at the University, provides FLAS fellowships for students of East Asian languages, invests in faculty research and professional development, engages community members in East Asia-related programs, provides training and support to professionals, and provides support for the building of East Asia-related resources and publications at the University.
- The East Asia Resource Center invites K-12 educators to explore the wealth of opportunities available to them to deepen their knowledge of East Asia.
- The European Union Center is one of the ten original EU Centers funded by the European Commission beginning in 1998. The network of EU Centers promotes the study of the EU, its institutions and policies and EU-US relations through teaching programs, scholarly research and outreach activities.

Ellison Center for Russian, Eastern European, and Central Asian Studies promotes in-depth interdisciplinary study of all major postcommunist subregions-Eastern and Central Europe, the Baltic region, the Caucasus and Central Asia, and Russia-in order to understand the legacies of the imperial and communist past as well as to analyze the emerging institutions and identities that will shape Eurasia's future. The Center is committed to building long-term, sustainable networks of cooperation with the diverse peoples of the region; sponsoring lectures, conferences, and exchanges covering the entirety of East Europe and Central Eurasia; and sustaining a dynamic program of outreach to local schools, colleges, and community organizations.
- The mission of the South Asia Program and Center is to promote inter-disciplinary study of the region with a strong foundation in languages and elective education focused in humanities, social sciences, or professional fields. The Center offers outreach programs for sharing and exchanging resources, promoting distance learning and encouraging awareness of South Asia among elementary and secondary schools, colleges and universities and a wider audience in government institutions, businesses and the public at large.
- The Southeast Asia Center promotes and sustains the study of Southeast Asia and encourages understanding of Southeast Asia in the Pacific Northwest and the nation. The Center actively organizes Southeast Asia-related programs such as teacher training, outreach activities and an accessible resource library that includes: print materials, microfilm, maps, and instructional media materials.
