- The annual Theodore Roethke Memorial Poetry Readings were begun in 1964 to honor the memory of former faculty member Theodore Roethke by bringing notable contemporary poets to the University of Washington campus to give a reading of their works. They are free and open to the public, and regularly attract large audiences of poetry lovers from around the Pacific Northwest.
- Bricolage - As an annual printed journal, Bricolage provides an opportunity for artists and writers in the University of Washington community to gain validation and exposure through publication in a quality collection of works. Bricolage is produced by undergraduates through the Department of English, published each spring, and the process culminates with a reading by the contributing authors at the University Bookstore. Bricolage is available for purchase by the public at the University Bookstore.
- The Seattle Review is a full-color publication that has been published at the University of Washington since 1978.
